Dr. KYUNG-KOO HAN (축사 / 유네스코 한국위원회 사무총장)

Dr. Han is a cultural anthropologist trained at Seoul National University (M.A.) and Harvard University (Ph.D.). He taught anthropology at Kangwon National University and helped develop the Division of International Studies at Kookmin University and the College of Liberal Studies, while serving as the dean at Seoul National University. He served as Chairman of the Policy Planning Committee of the Korea Federation for Environmental Movement, member of the Presidential Commission for Sustainable Development, Vice-chairman of the Culture Committee for the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, etc. He also served as President of the Korean International Migration Association, the Korean Society for the Education for International Understanding, and the Association for the Studies of Koreans Abroad, and as Vice President of the Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology, Korean Society for Environmental Sociology.

Mr. Gillespie is a writer, communications specialist, environmental campaigner, serial green entrepreneur, and futurist. He is the author of Only Planet: A Flight-Free Adventure around the World about his circumnavigation of the globe without getting on a plane. Ed is also the co-founder of Futerra, a change agency that specialises in business transformation, sustainability, and creative communications and campaigns.
He is actively involved in a number of other pioneering businesses as a director or investor. These include Zero Carbon Food, a renewable energy-powered farm in a disused London Underground tunnel, and Loco2.com, a pan-European rail ticket agency. He also served as a London Sustainable Development Commissioner for several years, advising the mayor and the Greater London Authority. He is regularly invited to lecture around the world to audiences, including the UN, national governments, multinational corporations, and citizen organizations.

Dr. MARIANNE THOMSEN (특별강연 I / 코펜하겐대학교 교수)

Lecture I : Sustainable Food Systems and Production
Dr. Thomsen is head of the EcoIndustrial System Analysis research unit and coordinator of the interdisciplinary strategic research area resource flows in a circular economy. She specialises in industrial ecology developing integrated sustainability assessments models with focus on circular resource management systems (ecosystem restoration, green/clean technologies and business models) using circular regenerative economy principles. During her research career she has published more than 110 peer-reviewed international research papers and reports on integrated sustainability assessment modelling of complex systems addressing resource management and technologies and their impacts on the natural environmental and human health. Her work has received more than 2613 citations (h-index 29).

LANA WEIDGENANT (특별강연 II / UN Food Systems Summit 청년 부대표, Z세대 환경운동가)

Lecture II: Food and Diets for Our Planet
Lana takes action at the intersection of climate action, youth empowerment, and sustainable food systems. She served as the Youth Vice-Chair of Shifting to Sustainable Consumption Patterns for the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit and currently works as a Campaigns and Policy Manager for ProVeg International. Lana also coordinates food systems policy for Zero Hour, an international climate justice organization led by youth. Lana recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
Lana was an active advocate for plant-based eating on the Johns Hopkins University campus, and her campaign began to grab the attention of one of the largest quick-service restaurants in the U.S. She successfully lobbied Dunkin to add a vegan sausage option to its menu, and the new menu item was unveiled in July 2019.
